PCC at the OCA 60th Anniversary weekend

On the 29/4/16 to the 2/5/16 some PCC members attended the OCA (Open Canoe Association) 60th Anniversary weekend.

On the Saturday some of us went on a long paddle and other of us tried a few workshops like Poling & Stand Up Paddle (SUP) boarding.

On Saturday evening we all enjoyed the OCA celebration’s with a Barn Dance, a talk/ video by Becky Mason the legendry open boater from Canada and daughter of the famous Canadian open boater Bill Mason as well as a piece of the OCA anniversary cake.

We were all camping during the weekend, and some of us had bigger pitches than others.

On Sunday we all had the opportunity to try out a different boats. Sam also attend a disability workshop which included a session on introducing people with sensory impairments into open boating.

On Sunday afternoon some of us had a look around Ross-On-Wye and went to the tea shop for tea and cakes.
