Junior, Adult and Family Membership

newlogoAll ages are welcome to Purley Canoe Club (PCC) and many people choose to join the Club as a family. Please note that a Parent or Legal Guardian must accompany all juniors (under 18 yrs) on club events. 


Club Membership Fees 

feesWe allow new paddlers to take part in three Club activities before asking them to join PCC. The membership fees payable depend upon your class of membership and when you join the club. In addition there are activity fees & hire fees for all club activities.

(1) Under 10s can only join as Family Members; Parents/Guardians must always accompany these junior members and be fully responsible for their actions.
(2) Only for Adults and Juniors who do not participate in river trips regularly – ask for more details.


British Canoeing Affiliation Fee

All PCC members who are “PCC Paddlers”, but not members of British Canoeing (BC) must pay an additional BC Affiliation Fee. PCC pays this affiliation fee to British Canoeing .

The BC Affiliation fee is:-  Junior = £1.50 & Adult = £2.50.

N.B. “PCC  Paddlers” are those members who physically paddle with the Club. “Non PCC Paddlers” are those members who do not  physically paddle with the club e.g. family members who watch from the bank.


Purley Canoe Club Membership Class’s

  1. Full Membership for Families; i.e.:- 2 adults/ parents/ guardians and their children:- up to 18 years of age. Parents or guardians are responsible for their children under the age of 18 years.  Family members paddle regularly with the club 
  2. Full Membership for Adults; i.e.:- someone of 18 years of age and over and paddles regularly with the club .
  3. Full membership for Juniors; i.e. a Junior is someone under the age of 18. Junior members who are 10 years of age or younger must join as a Family member with their parent or guardian.  Junior members paddle regularly with the club and they need the consent of their parent or guardian to participate in Club Activities.
  4. Associate Membership for associate adults (18 yrs or over), and juniors (under 18yrs)  This is available to members who do not participate in club activities on a regular basis. They will be allowed to participate in an unlimited number of social events every year. Associate members are only allowed to participate in 3 river trips a year, and they are  not  allowed to participate in  pool sessions. Associate members also do not have any voting rights.
